How can I import contacts to the address book?

With the address book import you can add new contacts and bank details of your business partners to the address book. The address book basically belongs to the EBICS customer of your primary Commerzbank access and can be managed by all users of this customer. You have the choice between adding new contacts to the existing address book or creating a new address book. When creating a new address book, the contacts already in the address book, including templates, are deleted and replaced by the new creation.
  1. In Global Payment Plus under "Administration" select "Address book".
  2. Click on "Action" in the upper right corner and select "Import contacts" to get to the address book import.
  3. Select the import type. You can choose between "Imported contacts are added to the address book" or "Complete address book is replaced by the import".
  4. Upload the file with your contacts by clicking on the upload icon and selecting the file on your drive or by simply dragging it into the upload field.
  5. Click "Start import" to start the address book import.
  6. If your import file is incorrect in terms of structure, you will be notified and you will be able to view the error log. Make the appropriate corrections to your import file and start the import again.
  7. After the successful import, the new contacts are ready in your address book and can be used.

Further Information

  • Note that when replacing the complete address book, all existing entries in the address book including all templates and bank details will be deleted and replaced by your import file. This step cannot be undone.
  • Templates are available in Excel format or as CSV files, which you can download by clicking on the appropriate file format.
